Cookbook: bind the item title

Where in the UI. Layout tab → text component → source → binding → item field → title.

  1. Open the layout users will see first.
  2. Drop text. Set source kind to binding, itemField title.
  3. Optional: enable editable so the canvas can rename the item.
  4. Preview: change the mock title; the widget must follow.

If it stays empty, you bound a category property or an expression that reads the wrong id. Title is always an item field, not a category.
